Pre-Conference Tutorial and Workshop on
Multi Criteria DecisionMaking 14th December 2010.

Thiagarajar College of Engineering and Operational Research Society of India (ORSI)- Madurai Chapter Jointly Organize a one day Pre conference tutorial and workshop on Multi Criteria Decision Making for the benefit of Practitioners, research scholars and students.

Preamble:

Decision making in busines, engineering, Health acre and social sciences is becoming complex with penty of information. Often decisions in these fields are complex, expensive and needs to be made after considering numerous criteria (quantitative as well as qualitative). Multi criteria Decision Making (MCDM) techniques have been developed to support decision makers for decision making stuations involving multiple criteria. Now-a-days, numerous software are available to support the decision making process. Software becomes a black box if a user doesn't know how to structure the problem. This workshop will help to bridge the gap between understanding and structuring the propblm when MCDM techniques are used.Modeling issues under various scenarios in the world will be discussed by eminent experts in the workshop.
