OPSEARCH
JOURNAL OF THE OPERATIONAL RESEARCH SOCIETY OF INDIA

The Editorial Policy


The objective of OPSEARCH is to publish original, high quality, and state of the art papers in Operational Research. Each paper will be classified into any one of the following categories: (1) Theory and Methodology, (2) OR in practice, (3) Case Study, (4) Invited Papers (5) Short Communications/Technical Notes, and (6) Book Reviews. All the articles will be refereed by at least two experts.

Submission of Manuscripts

Manuscript: Author(s) are invited to upload the soft copy of the paper at https://www.editorialmanager.com/opse/ with at least four keywords. Submission to OPSEARCH implies that the paper is not submitted to any other journal at the same time. Manuscripts should be written in English. in A4 (8.5 x 11 inch) size paper in one-and-half line spacing, with wide margins (1 inch on all sides). A covering letter mentioning the title of the paper, the name(s) and affiliation of the author(s) along with e-mail addresses should accompany the manuscript. In case of more than one author only the author for correspondence should send the covering letter indicating his/her e-mail address also. Author(s) should retain a copy of the manuscript since OPSEARCH cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss of papers.

Paper Length: No maximum length of manuscript is prescribed, however authors are encouraged to write concisely.

Text: The manuscript should be prepared in the following order: Title, Authors, Affiliations, Abstract, Keywords, Main Texts, Acknowledgements, References and Appendix. Photo ready copies of Figures and Tables should be inserted in the main text at appropriate places. Sections within the paper decimally numbered and alignment should be centered. The whole manuscript should be prepared in 'Times New Roman' without using any artistic fonts.

Mathematical Formulae: All mathematical formulae and Greek letters should be type written using the Microsoft Equation 3.0 (or similar Equation Editors; text style only). Equations should be displayed on a separate line and numbered in parentheses on the right margin. Keep formulae as simple as possible. Avoid excessive use of super or subscripts. Use the following style for summation and product:

References: All publications cited in the text should be listed under references. In the text refer name(s) of author(s) along with the reference number in the square bracket, e.g., Saaty [7], or Berman et al [10]. All references must be listed in a chronological sequence; the most recent reference should bear serial number [1], and so on. Please adopt the following style for references:
